Meet Alli Faccas!
Q: How did you get started in graphic design?
A: Through music. When I was fifteen, I was obsessed with vintage, Fillmore-style concert posters. I’d create my own on poster paper for my bedroom.
Q: What’s your favorite type of design project?
A: I love anything to do with mixed media, like lettering by hand or painting something and bringing it into the digital space.
Q: What would you say to an aspiring designer? What hidden gems have you uncovered during your design journey that you’re willing to share?
A: What separates ‘design’ from other forms of art is its efficacy to solve a problem. Designers by nature have to learn how to both respect and push boundaries – get in the box, love the box, tear open the box, destroy the box. Keep challenging your work and your understanding of the world, and you’ll never have a boring day in your life!
